This letter is in reference to my experience using the O2 boot here at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. On the 3 patients in which we have used this boot, all have shown marked improvement. In fact, one patient whom I have treated (unsuccessfully) for nearly 1 year with a variety of wound care modalities, healed his leg ulcers completely after 4 weeks of the O2 boot treatment.

In general, I feel it is an excellent adjunctive modality to augment wound healing. I would encourage their practitioners to use it on their patients with chronic non-healing wounds.
